after we brought back our rental car yesterday, we went to Isla Mujeres, which was stunning. beautiful clear warm water.. today we will make our way home already.. how time flies!

Campeche is a really nice city. :) from there we went to the Kabah and Uxmal ruins which was really impressive. also we saw some bats there. :P afterwards we went to Celestun which is really beautiful. we did a tour there, where we saw a big flamingo colony, went into the mangroves and to a cenote. :) then we went to Merida for lunch and right away to Progreso. from there we went to the Chichen Itza ruins, which once was one of the largest maya citites. right next to it is the Cenote Ik Kil, where we went for a swim, it was incredible. :) yesterday we went on a tour to see some crocodiles really close and many birds including flamingos. we also saw Las Coloradas, which are pink lakes. afterwards we made our way to Holbox where we are relaxing right now. :)

we visited the mayan ruins in Tulum and afterwards we went to the Muyil ruins and lagoon where we saw some monkeys. there we went up on really steep stairs to an really unsteady platform but with a nice view. :) afterwards we ate some really good and cheap food which did not look too good. :D the next day we went to the Bacalar lagoon which is incredibly beautiful.. colors of turquoise, blue and green.. :) then we went to the Calakmul ruins which was really nice. :) on the road to the Edzna ruins they burnt down a field. and today we arrived in Campeche. :) in the last video you can see what it looks like when you miss one of the so called topes (speed bump), did you see it? :P sometimes its not even signalized..

we dove in the cenote Dos Ojos which was unbelievable, the visibility was so good that it looked like we weren't even under water.. it was amazing! we went up in the so called batcave where we saw some bats :P the next day we dove at the reef at Cozumel, which was also very beautiful.. so many fish and so colorful :) then we drove to Xpu-Ha where we stayed in a cute little tent and watched the stars at the beach. the next day we got some breakfast and drove to Tulum, which is a very nice city. :D

as we arrived in Cancun, we straight got some food. :P yesterday we picked up our rental car and went to Playa del Carmen and again enjoyed some food. :)
and the next two days we will go diving in a cenote and at the reef at Cozumel. :D

after almost 3 years, we can finally visit one of the countries we wanted to visit on our around-the-world trip and we are ready to go. :)
